Guitar Therapy - Noel and Todd Negotiate

With new faces and sounds for the upcoming album it seemed appropriate to retire the "just circular" moniker and adopt a new one. Paul Bodamer, Mitch Easter, Mark Gallegos, and Todd Mathis are releasing a new CD as <faster stereo>.

The CD is set to be mastered at Studio B Mastering in Charlotte, NC on August 6th. The disc will include 8 new originals and 2 cover songs. The covers are "Come On" by The Jesus and Mary Chain and "Remember" by fashionbattery. Both are two of Paul's favorites from the 1980's and hold special place in his personal history. The JMC tune will also provide the album title, "Come On".

• In keeping with the one day tradition, the gospel album of Zach Seibert and Todd Mathis was recently mixed by Paul.  That's right, in one day.  A limited edition first printing and digital release will be scheduled soon.  You'll hear about it here first.  In the meantime you can catch the two performing at the Whig on April 3rd. 

 

• American Gun was recently featured on the awesome blog Nine Bullets.  Read the review here:  http://ninebullets.net/archives/american-gun-devil-showed-me-his-hand.  You can also now pick up the new disc from CD Baby as well. 

 

• Getting closer and closer to completion is just circular's sophomore effort.  Athenites beware, as the ressurection of Fashion Battery lies in the realms of the 10 track romp. 

 

 There’s lots going on here at Jangly these days…here’s a quick update.

 - Paul recorded a gospel record with Zach Seibert and Todd Mathis in early January.  The recording features a few originals and traditionals.  Look for a digital release and limited pressing soon. 

 - just circular continues work on the sophomore offering with more pop gems than you can shake a sick at.

 - American Gun has a number of new shows posted so be sure to check out their website at www.americangun.net.  Don’t forget to pick up a copy of Devil Showed Me His Hand while you’re there.

Paul has completed the mixes and Dave Harris at Studio B Mastering in Charlotte, NC has completed the mastering. American Gun is working with their designer on the artwork and it looks like the CD will be released in November. Watch for an announcement soon!
